🤳 Social media: what is actually requested
This is the new feature that raises the most questions.
In the 2026 ESTA application, you must declare social media used over the last few years, generally over a period that can go up to 5 years.
What is requested:
The name of the social network and your public identifier / handle, but under no circumstances your passwords!

📸 "Live" photo / selfie: a key point in 2026
Another important change: the biometric photo.
What is requested, a selfie photo taken at the time of the application, face clear, without filters, without glasses, used for a biometric comparison with the passport photo.
